9 ALVARADO PHYSICIANS, NURSES AND STAFF HONORED AS HEALTHCARE CHAMPIONS
Nine Alvarado Hospital physicians and staff members were selected as 2008 San Diego Healthcare Champions, as part of the San Diego Business Journal's annual event. Congratulations to the following physicians and staff members:

The FDA recently approved the first artificial disc implant for the cervical spine, and an Alvarado surgeon says the implant treats cervical spine disorders effectively. However, the real benefit may be better long-term preservation of adjacent discs.
